Dear DAAD partners, alumni and friends,
These grants are open to young researchers and prospective Ph.D. students in the Sub-Saharan Africa region who wish to pursue
either their doctorate full-time in Germany (Research Grants – Doctoral Programmes in Germany; Kenyan-German Postgraduate Programme)
or wish to conduct part of their research within their Ph.D. studies in Germany (One-Year Grants: 7-12 months; Bi—Nationally Supervised Doctoral Degrees: up to 24 months).
These scholarships, with exception of the Kenyan-German Postgraduate Programme, are open to all fields and topics. There is no age limit, but the previous degree should not be older than 6 years at the time of application.
The most important application requirements are a 10-15 page research proposal and the confirmation of supervision by a professor in Germany/ admission letter to a structured PhD programme at a German university.
The deadline for the online application is 31 October 2022.

Google Email Advisory: Leaked Passwords
The Google Workspace email platform has an Artificial intelligence (A.I.) system that automatically flags Google email accounts at high risk of breach, accounts with potentially compromised passwords and other security vulnerabilities. As a result of this assessment, Google AI automatically suspends affected accounts and notifies Google Domain Administrators.
A number of student and staff accounts have been identified as being at risk and below are some of the possible reasons for this assessment.
