Kenyatta University is partnering with other universities located in 13 counties led by the Principal investigator Prof. David Ndetei through the Africa Mental Health Foundation and Dr. Francisca Ongecha, the executive Dean School of Health Sciences as KU focal lead and other investigators to conduct a survey on the mental health needs of undergraduate university students . The aim of this survey is to identify the mental health support needs ,establish priorities for campus-based interventions to promote student wellness and identify opportunities for sustainable campus-based interventions to promote mental health and prevent suicides. It is a web-based study that provides complete anonymity.
The study protocol has obtained ethical approval by the KEMRI -SERU NO. 4419. Research permit from NACOSTI License No. NACOSTI/P/22/18541.
